A historic contrada that is home to 60 year old vines, planted on marine sediment soil with a thin layer of surface limestone. Here’s a beautiful, Sicilian red, which shows dried peppers, ash, hot stones, orange peel, glazed red cherries and dried red plums. Full-bodied and very suave, it trades in super sharp acidity and clear-cut tannins. Very long and bright on the finish. Marvelously taut and intense.
